Tall Poppy Reviews

“For a sports film to work, it has to appeal to people with little interest in sport. This one works so well because it's about a remarkable young Australian woman who happens to be a champion skateboarder. It’s an inspiring story at a time when we need them.” - The Australian

"It’s a fantastic film, and an inspiring story to boot." - Monster Children

“Aided by home video footage charting Olsen’s rise through the rinks, Tall Poppy steps through her life and career to-date; however, Justine Moyle’s film is never as standard as that sounds. This affectionate documentary captures Poppy’s passion, as well as the doubts, readjustments, perseverance and struggles that’ve peppered her path.” - Flicks

“So much more than a sport documentary, Justine Moyle has managed to show the exquisite pain and beauty that is the coming of age of Australian park skateboarding star and all-round decent human being, Poppy Starr Olsen.” - Fillum
